Default Quality of body kits

In the past I've primarily looked at the style of the body kits available and purchased the one I like the most, but this time I would like to get some feedback on the quality of the products before I choose one.
I've gotten fiberglass and urethane kits and components before and noticed that there really is a dramatic difference in the quality of workmanship. I actually prefer fiberglass components, as they are easier to repair (in my experience) if something cracks, but several times I've ordered hoods or fenders and found that they required a LOT of prep work just to get them smooth (as compared to the urethane). I've noticed especially that a lot of component makers aren't even drilling the bolt holes anymore.
So please tell me about the quality of the different brands of body kits/components that you've had experience with. What's good about them and what's not? I know I'm probably opening a can of worms here, but I want to get a good, high-quality body kit this time.

Buy a lip, not a body kit.

:werd: A body kit on a 4th gen looks so friggen ugly! Kits really take away from the styling design as well. But if you do go with a kit make sure it urethane and not fiberglass. Fiberglass will crack and chip easier but it is easier to repair vs urethane. I regret I ever owned a kit period!h:

Body kits, when chosen properly to coincide with the lines of the car, are actually quite stylish. I have to agree that some out there are way too gaudy, tho. Particularly when they have useless air-dams and unusable venting.
The main idea behind a body kit (for my car) is to gain an opening sufficient enough in cfm's to run a large intercooler. The stock openings are quite small and therefore will not give me the cooling capacity I require.
If it were just to make my car look different or lower, then a simple lip would be fine. Thanks for the advice, tho.

dont go with fiberglass either way...yes easier to repair than other materials but also MUCH easier to crack in the first place....urethane or abs plastic FTW :werd: :irock:
