Default Lots of Prelude problems...

Hey, I just bought a 1992 Prelude SI, 112k, Salage, Good Condition for $2,200.
It has some engine problems. I drove it, and it feels realll slow, feels like when I gas it, it takes a long time to notice that I gas it. In 1st gear, when I move from 0mph it feels like it doesn't want to move so I have to gas it a lot. After I shift and floor it, it feels like i'm just stepping on gas 1/4 way. Also when my rpm is really now, my engine is making a rattle noise when it's about to stall. Oh yes, Today when I was driving, my engine would turn off on me a couple times at red-light when it was idling. I don't know what is wrong.

I don't think the clutch is bad, My dad says it's still good, because he did something and said it was good, I think he downshifted and felt it or somehting. Yes my check-engine light comes on when after i start the car and drive for like 4 minutes, when the light comes on, it laggs even more...

If you've got the Check Engine light coming on, you need to pull the codes. That will give you a good place to start.

Timing belt might explain the acceleration Problem. Replace it or maybe it might be off by a couple of teeth.

Its gotta be that the timing belt is off and its efffing up your acceleration, especially if your check engine light comes on, i'll put money on it,
