I just got my 92 prelude Si, but when i drove it home I noticed that i can't step on it, it sputters. I got it from a guy that my friend knows and I got it for cheap so I want to fix it not throw it back to'em. It also idles weird the needle bobs up and down, but I was told to check the Idle Control Valve.

 

Yup clean the IACV and see if that'll fix it...You can search to find the steps

 

how do i clean it? and cleaning the IACV will fix both the idle and the sputter? cuz i was told that fixes only the idle.

 

yea, your sputter could be a number of things. explain it a little better than just a sputter.

 

forget the sputter I got new spark plugs and wires and new cap and rotor and it stopped, but I'm still having trouble starting it. I just checked for spark I got none, so its the distributor and I just found a F'n crack on my crank shaft journal i think its called well it seats next to the distributor, actually thej distributor bolts to it and its cracked. A friend of mine told me I have to get a new valve head, because thats the only place I can get the cranck shaft journal thing. Well does anyone have a complete H23 head for sale for cheap?

 

You could just buy my car It's a 92 frost white Si 5 spd, h23 and runs like a champ. Its got some nice mods. JDM headlights, JDM amber fogs, JDM K-speed 17" wheels (tires in good shape) PSPEC Tuning short shifter kit rebuilt motor (head and pistons and rods). Whatch it i just bought one and it had a slith flutter when ideling and I found out it was a blow head gasket. Get it checked out

 

I'm getting it checked out today or tommorrow. I don't need a new car, my car just needs a little bit of work
