clutch squeek
i have a 2000 honda prelude base model
the sound that im hearing is a squeek when i press in the clutch even when the car is turned off. i also feel a little roughness in the clutch as i hear the squeek especially as im slowly letting off the clutch when the car is off. the clutch isnt slipping or anything because i got a new transmission along with a clutch, but im not sure if they really changed the throw out bearing so im leaning towards the throwout bearing. so if any of you guys have any idea where i should look for please tell me!!
also the sound does come from the slave cylinder where it pivots and when i wd40 that bitch like crazy the sound stops for a little while but if im in stop and go traffic for a while it will come back
so any feedback with be appreciated.

Hit the pivot points with a little bearing grease. WD40 will wear off too quickly (as you've noticed) and let it squeak again. Just don't get too liberal with the grease to keep it from dripping down onto your floormats.
Sorry if I was a little confusing. When I've had to grease my own clutch I always hit the inside and outside. I made the mistake once of accidentally getting a glob of grease on the inside where the pedal connects and the first time the car got nice and toasty inside, the glob fell to my floorboard. I just didn't want anyone else to go through the fun job of cleaning grease from carpeted floormats
Usually when it's the throw-out bearing you won't notice the sound with the engine off since the bearing is not being spun. Since you said there's a new clutch, I'm assuming that the pressure plate was changed as well? Those can squeak a little sometimes when they're worn.
