So i decided to buy the 92 prelude for 2k and everything worked fine, i've had it for a week now and suddenly the sunroof stopped working. well, it didn't completly stop working. now you got to give it a little pust to help it slide over. The first day i got it it worked fine. Is there anything i could do to make it work again without my help in pushing it? thanks.

 

Mine has the same problem...I think its a broke spring that releases the lock. Thais what my father in law told me. I dun know I just haven't worried about it .....it closes fine. It does need a lil push to open. Try to grease the tracks really good that might help as well. Look for a spring on both sides if one is there and other isnt...thas your problem. You should see 2 springs on either side in the tracks.

 

grease the tracks. NO WD-40!!! This will wear away any grease left on there and it will stop working completely. Also, in my crx I had a similar problem. A screw that held the sunroof panel to the are that is pushed by the motor was loose and eventually came loose and it got stuck open. I had to remove the sunroof to get to the screw. It was a mild PIA, so let's hope that isn't your problem.
