The S Style of the 3rd gen. has no aftermarket support....So adding or removing anything will not give you any more than what you have.

Sorry

The S style? whats that mean? I was just hoping maybe there was a company with some aftermarket side drafts or something. I had wanted to do a B swap into it but I just cant justify doing it when I have so much money going into other things at this point.

Save the mods for the Integra. The B20A is the bastard stepchild of the B series motors. There is a reason why there is no aftermarket support...the car is a brick and the engine is worthless.

You have a 1988 Honda Prelude S

I would sell it and upgrade to something else...either a 4th gen or something else

I dont want to swap a H22 in it. It would only be marginally quicker than my GSR, if not slower. Im told I can swap a B18 head onto it with a little toying. Im NOT looking for a street terror, just something a little more fun to drive. I love the car and with 96,000 miles its still got a ton of life left.

The B20A is a good block. Its the head thats crapola. Hell, its not even technically a B series and why Honda calls it a B is beyond me.

If you really want more power out of this car, you dont have alot of choices. The B18 head isn't going to fit with just "a little toying", you're talking custom machine work on the head and creating a custom head gasket.

If you just want more power than what the carb motor has, then just go with a Fuel Injected 88-91 prelude motor. That will involve changing out the wiring harness/ECU and getting all the sensors and everything, though you can keep your tranny and even the engine block (just use the fuel injected head). You'd need to change over to Fuel Injection anyways if you wanted to swap the B18 head on or even with an H22 swap.

Hell if Im going to go thru the pain of the FI 88-91 I may as well do a B swap entirely. Well just no way around that. Its either deal with this or find a junked integra
