Default Wounded my Prelude?

Hi,

Had a great track day at Castle Coombe but on last couple of laps on the last session all of a sudden I started getting a wicked vibration from the front left wheel (as you'd see it from the driving position). It does it when under load in the right handed corners (so at Coombe that's most of them) and all is fine in a straight line and even under braking. Eased off a drove home ok but didn't like roundabouts much (clockwise in the UK).

I've been getting some ocassional knocking there since I changed the bent lower arm for a straight one - everything looked tight and there was no play. It was fully tracked and balanced after this and prior to the event.

Could be a bush (could get new ones in time so re-used the old ones above) or a wheel bearing? If you pull at the wheel there is some play now but not much.

I don't think I've thrown a balance weight as it would be vibrating all the time.

Any advice apprieciated.

Cheers,

Hatch

Change out all of you suspension bushings for the black graphite inpregnated urethane bushings from Energy Suspension. As far as the vibration goes it could be the drive shaft on that side.

Thanks. I'll look into those.
I had to have the drive shaft out during the job I spoke of to replace the boot covers - it had three floating square shaped lugs that fitted into sliders inside the gearbox. They were a real pig to get in so I can see some room for error. What exactly would I look for there that would cause the vibration?
