hey all i just recently changed my oil, and ended up puting 10w-30 in there, without realizing soon enough that the car (a 2000 honda prelude) requieres 5w-30...just wondering at how bad i might be messin up my engine running with 10w, or if it just wouldnt matter all too much......i do plan on changin out the oil though...

 

The 10/30 should be alright for the summer months.

 

I put 10W30 in my car and it ran better. I had some black spots on my bumper, but no real oil loss. I got like 2mpg better milage too. Don't worry about it. Keep an eye on the oil level just in case though.
