Default Misfire... Help!!!!!

Hi guy and girls
Got a misfire on my 94 vtec Lude, most noticable at tick over.
Fitted a new td60 distributor and it has improved the situation, but its still doing it. It seems to have a weak spark on cyl 1 and 3 leaving sooty plugs.
I've had a look at the idle valve on the side of the intake plenum, and it seems alright.
In the manual it says to adjust the tick over, you disconnect the idle valve two pin connection, and adjust the revs to the specified speed, reconnect, reset ecu and you're done.
When i take the two pin connector off the idle valve and start the engine it will not idle at all, and on part throttle the engine pulses terribly and no amount of idle adjustment will stop it. Connect the plug again and it just goes back to its misfire. Very occasionally the misfire will go away for a few minutes and the engine smooths out. But its soon back with a vengance.
There is no check engine light coming on to suggest a fault.
I am suspecting the ECU now. Its a P13
Please, please help i'm running out of money and haven't driven my Lude for over a month.. I miss it!

When was the last time you changed plugs? Cap and Rotor? Wires?

Do you have a CEL? Im in the same situation as you and im running a Code ( TDC)

I took it in and the only possible problem is the ECU for mine.......Let me know if you have a code or not.

Could it be the blaster coil not constant? How old is it?

Could a compression problem cause this?

Got no CEL.
The Distributor houses the ignition module and coil and is all brand new, along with plugs and leads.
Altering the timing does not improve it either.
Took the ecu out to have a look, couldn't find any dry joints or signs of damage.
On VTECs i think the TDC sensor is also in the distributor, apparently the distributor is prone to fail on these cars due to the heat, hence the reason it was my first port of call.
I'm really stuck!!!
(whats a blaster coil?)

The blaster coil is what sends the spark to your distributor. The fifth spark wire that doesn't go from your distributor to your engine is connected to your blaster coil. I don't know if that could be it, but check your sparks as well...make sure they are all blue or else you aren't gettng a strong enough spark to ignite the fuel causing the misfire.
