Default Hood Pins

After 3 1/2 months of waiting my cf hood is finally here. Im having it installed this week and my question is about the hood pins. Will they be enough to hold the hood down if I don't use the hood latch? The pins have locks on them and if they will be enough to hold the hood down I will take the latch off. Thanx for the help

i have a carbon fiber hood with no pins, just the stock latch and it keeps it down no problem... and why not use your hood latch and the pins (since u are going to get them)??
