Default ecu

i just ordered a spoon racing chip and recently herd that it could be bad to chip a car thats over a certain mile range. do i have anything to worry about??

Really no reason to "chip" your car unless you have something set up(ie..Turbo)....The chip will only give you a higher rev limit and will take out the speed limiter...Basically it will do nothing.....and you will have to soulder(sp.?) the chip to your ECU.

i think some re-map your a/f ratios. a freind of mine chiped his 97 ex while it was stock and it gave him what felt like a moderate boost in power and is mpg went down a shit load.

those cheap ebay chips that are said to be "spoon" and "JUN" are crap.
