I own a 99 lude and just bought some 18 inch rims for it. they are 7.5 inches wide. I was wondering if i put an 8 inch wide tire on the rim if it would rub the wheel wells when i turn. the guy at the tire store said he wasnt sure, so to go with 7.5 to be safe. but i was wondering if anyone here owns a 5th generation with 18x8 wheels and tires

I work at an autorepair/tire/rim shop and I get my info from TireRack they said on the 97-01 the biggest size in 18's is 235/35/18 8.5 rim, they pref a 225/40/18 8.0
