Default Thinking about getting info on HID

I'm planning to get HIDs but i wanna do some research first...could anyone give me a few key words to look for when researching this topic? Or possibly any alternative ways that would give me the same effect as HIDs and that worked well in their 5th gen lude that doesnt cause the light to scatter...

If you're planning on getting HIDs, you may as well get a retrofit done. Without having projectors put into your lights, you'll have major glare, and light will be pointing into the trees and bushes more often than onto the street. With projectors, light will be more focused onto the street like it suppose to be

If you want to research on anything about HID you need to go read up on the hidplanet.com forums. Everything you would ever what to know is there. If your gonna do anything, do a retro. It's worth every penny.

If you wanna check out the retrofit I did on my lude.........

damn 2legit thanks for the link to HID planet. I'm gonna do a lot of research there until i get everything i can about HIDs. your "retrofit" looks nice man.. reason i put retrofit in quotations is becuase i dont really know what i means right now and hopefully i will learn what it is and more from HID Planet.. thanks

Yeah, that's how I learned. Just hanging out over there reading up.

Thanks for the compliment. Retrofit is the term used when you take projectors from an OEM HID equipped vehicle and modify your vehicle's headlights to use them. Good luck.

Good, anyone with a kit in a non OE reflector housing deserves to get pulled.

OUCH! lol My bro has HIDs but no retro fit. theyre scattered like crazy. I'll be in the pass seat n i can see light shinning off the trees on the side of the road. He'd be upset if he saw this post! i think ill copy and send this to him! lol... Does anyone know a legit person who does retro fits for you? I dont want to screw it up. I'd rather pay someone to do it for me right the first time before i go trashing up headlights!
