Default 89 Prelude Si 4ws

Great forum! Wish I knew about this when I had my '00 prelude.

Well, since getting rid of my 2000 prelude and even more recently a 2004 mazda 3, I've been looking to get something more 'economical'....b/c of my location (downtown) and mortgage, Im looking at well used cars. Came across an '89 prelude si, no rust, no accidents, has approx 225Km on the clock, loaded but no a/c (Im willing to suffer for 4-6 weeks in the summer - Toronto).

I'll likely put it up on the hoist for a closer look but putting any cash down.

Is there anything particular to watch out for in the earlier generation preludes? What do you think its worth.....Im thinking $2500 max

Thanks

2500max im thinking more like 800max, 89 with 225k, not worth anything more than that, besides that 3rd gens are pretty solid.

I believe the 4ws system is expensive to fix if something goes wrong. With a car that old, I would be a bit weary of the integrity of the 4ws system.
