Is The Sh Worth????????
they have the same engine, and the base weighs less, but i'd have to believe the atts would give you better traction, so off the line they probably come in on the quarter at the same times. i dont know about the interior
there was a race once......you just have to belive me on this....lol prelude vs sh model. prelude driver was a toureing car champion....sh driver was a car dealer salesman.....they both raced for time on a track....dont know if tech track or speed track but i assume tech track (tight small corners). the salesman with no experience walked over the touring champ. anyone else heard this story? i dont know if the attn is that good but it slows the inside wheel down (or somehting liek that) when turning
Yup ATTS is the only difference betweent the two... i just bought mine a month ago and i am loving every single bit of it...
ATTS is the system that makes the outer wheel spin faster during a turn..
basically, the SH is more of a circuit car...
thats pretty much all that i know about the ATTS... noob here...:)

When I bought my Prelude, I briefly considered the Type-SH. Drove it, but couldn't justify the $3500 sticker price difference (my base was $23,500 and the Type-SH was almost $27,000!!!)
However, I do understand how it works, and it's a good system. I just don't do much track or intentional performance driving.
ATTS uses a combination of electronic sensors and hydraulic pressure to transfer torque from the wheel with the most to the wheel with the least. It's not traction control (as some people have often thought). It does eliminate the yaw shift and understeer that is inherent with a nose heavy front engine/front wheel drive setup.
bAmBiNo10, if you have just purchased your Type-SH, I recomend you do not delay in having the ATTS system flushed and refilled. It is not unlike an automatic transmission with a - you guessed it - torque converter. I believe Honda recomends the system be flushed and refilled every 30k. Also, if you have a flat front tire, never put the spare on the drive wheels. That can cause the ATTS light to illuminate, and send the ATTS computer in to a frizzy. Transfer a wheel from the back and put the doughnut on the back.

Although, the Sh is a great handling car, IMO, it is also more of a hassle to maintain and modify.
