Default 00 Prelude chipping

I was interested in knowing if anybody had succesfully chipped an ODB-II ECU, specifically the P5P, I understand that its much harder to do than the ODB-I. I realise that my other option would be to convert to ODB-I (using a conversion harness) and use a compatible ECU but would there be any repercussions in doing so?

Now for the compatible ECU I understand that the P13 would be my best option. Now the P13 was formely used on the H22a1 V-Tech engine now would there be any difference in using it on the H22a4?

I'm really interested in chipping this vehicle and any feedback on past success (or failures) would be greatly appreciated.

either convert to obd I or use something like an AEM EMS... but liek the teg's i'm guesing it'd just be easier swtiching to obd-1

OBDII ECUs are not chippable.

You will have to run a conversion harness and an OBDI ECU to do any sort of chipping. The only problem with this is, if your state requires emissions and they check your ECU, it won't register and fail because it was running the OBDI ECU.

The EMS is another option but it is very expensive and I don't think your setup warrants it.

OBD 2 ecu's are chippable but its not cost effective go to PGMFI.org and read about it. I went turbo on my 5th gen and just used a p28 and converted to obd1 i also added a knock board. for the harness go to boomslang.
