Default Power Window/Mirror problems! HELP!

Howdy y'all.

I have just bought a 99 lude, and I am looking for some help. She's a lovely auto, only has about 58K on her tranny, and she is a total whoot on the track...yep, bought her yesterday, and tracked her today...so mechanically she is rocking, but she does have 3 minor issues I was hoping you could help me with....

1. My driver side mirror does not go up/down, only left/right...when I try to adjust it electronically, I hear a whirring noise as the motor tries to link up and move the mirror, but it just whirs and whirs....until I move the mirror with my fingers, and it moves freely...is this a motor issue, or perhaps a stripped gear?

2. Same side, driver power window CHATTERS when going down on the auto mode..if I click the window down, it does go down, but it's choppy and takes time....plus is quite unsightly. Should I get the window motor replaced, and if I do, should I do the work myself?

3. My A/C blows.....warmish air. It is cool, but definitely not as cold as you expect. I also notice when sitting at idle, the A/C struggles to keep up, and makes the car shudder...dropping my idle rpm down to about 400, and threatens to kill the car completely. I think the compressor may be shot, and I also need a recharge on my system. I don't want to spend tons of money, as summer is almost over, but I am wondering what it might cost to get my a/c cared for....I might need 1 lb of coolant in the system!??

Thanks y'all for the help!
Cheers,
B~

Welcome to HAN. Congrats on the lude. Taking it to the track the next day is certainly a good way to get to know your new car.

I wouldn't replace the window motor just yet. Take off the door panel and try and inspect the slide tracks, see if there's gunk or anything. Also, look at the inside window trim while it's rolling down and see if that's being dragged down and causing the chattering.

My power window just went out on my 99 Prelude at it is going to cost $340 (dealership) for the parts and labor so good luck with that and It is stuck in the down position until they get the parts next week. So good luck with you power window/mirror problems.
