I recently swapped my h22 into my f22 prelude got a question about vacuum hoses
I just recently swap a h22 in my f22 prelude and i was wondering if i had to add any extra vacuum hoses, if i could just use my stock f22 ones and be fine? i was told the hoses on the intake were the most important the rest were just smog issues and would not effect the cars performance
and since my car is obd1 do i need a 2nd o2 sensor? and my h22 came with a map sensor on the intake manifold and i have one from my f22 on the fire wall do i need to hook up both?
anyone clear this up?

you should not have to add any vacuum lines.
make sure you use all of the intake lines cuz if you leave one off you car will surge. if you have extra lines just plug them.
there should not be a second o2 sensor but dont hold me to it!
as far as the MAP Sensor goes you have 2 choices.
you can either hook up the map on the intake and leave the one on the firewall alone or you can buy a MAP sensor block plate (www.kmsperformance.com and they have them on ebay) and use the one on the firewall
that is how mine is hooked up in my accord and it all should be the same!
good luck

my car has its check engine light on
vtec and knock is hooked up
i am not 100% sure about the vacuum still
when i get on it vtec doesnt kick in...and i cant hit my 7200 redline it bogs down after 6800
can anyone who swapped from f22 to h22 take a picture of their vacuum hoses and send em to me? it help a crap load thanks

we tried tapping (putting a paperclip inside) the service connector behind the CD player (the yellow plug thats loose) and my SRS light just flashes really fast and a lot of times
when you say surging you mean it revs up and down from 1000-2000 rpms constantly and the car occasionally dies?

yes surging from 1000 to 2000 rpm you are correct
now somewhere i read that you need to add a vacuum line to the IAB but that is on accord swaps so i dont know about prelude swap but should be the same
which ECU are you running?
make sure you have a P13 in there cuz your old motor might have a fuel cut at 6800 and your old ecu has no vtec either.
let me know if you need a P13 ecu cuz i can get you one.

well it surges very rarely now
its running a lot stronger
we rewired vtec with new solenoid
it still doenst kick in and i cant rev past 6800
its a p13 for sure we tried 3 other ones
i reset the ecu too and the CEL isnt coming on
i dono wtf is up now

make sure everything is wired up right cuz it sounds like a wiring problem. you also might have to run it for like 5-15 min. before the CEL will come back on.
i have a CEL for EGR valve cuz we bypassed it and sometimes it wont come on till i been driving for like 10 min.
