500 hp ???????
ok i what to get 500 hp out of my h22 how much money do u think it would take and what parts bo u sugest i get i no im going to have to go turbo but i dont whant to sleeve it becouse i herd that it makes it run hot and is not very streeable how true is that
you wont get 500hp out of that motor unless you go with an insane amount of boost.
You will have to re-sleeve it because in stock form it wont handle the boost.
Im not to familiar with the H22's but from what I heard they arent the best engines to boost. I could be wrong.

IIRCThe highest WHP numbers not gotten by a sponsored dragracer has gotten out of an H series was 393hp, and 230tq. It was a turbo'd H22 in a Honda Prelude running ~14psi, with a 100 shot of the NO2. The estimated cost of his motor alone was $12,000.
So...Good luck with that.
You want 500HP? Go big: no replacement for displacement.

Go to AbsolutePrelude.com and search all threads for NtPrelude and TrboH22.
Unfortunately we got hacked 2 months back, but NtPrelude had been steadily creeping up into on the 400WHP mark for some time, for some reason the number 393/230 sticks in my mind, hence IIRC (if I remember correctly) I think TrboH22 had $33k in his car, so...12K for the engine is not out of line.

but yeah it's expensive, and what do you need all that hp for?
