Default All motor upgrades

I'm not a prelude person, but I have some questions. What would you suggest to upgrade on an '00 prelude. It is bone stock, except an intake. I'm trying to stay all motor. I'm also looking for the best bang for my bucks. Give me some suggestions, please.

oh... all 97-01 comes with the h22a4? hmm.. i just figured you could get the h23 engine those years as well.

In that case.. Finish your exhuast system with header, HFC, exhuast. You'll have to do that if you decide to upgrade anything else anways and also the're easy and fun upgrades.

No h23's in 5th gens. My advice save your money for a good header. Don't get a DC or a cheap header because you'll be lucky to gain 5 hp from it. To get full potential from your exhaust with an all motor setup get a kteller, hytech, prospeed, RMF, ANR, T1R and so forth for a header. Match that with a 2.5 inch inlet and outlet high flow cat or test pipe and 2.5 inch piping. You can do all the bolt ons you want but h22's especially obd2 ludes don't respond well to bolt ons. To get good power and I'm talking 25-35 hp tuned with some type of engine management (hondata, ems, vafc2) will cost you at least a cool grand if not more like 1300-1400 chronies. I speak from experience so take my word you wont make power with a DC. I just completed a $7000 all motor build in my 99 type sh which some of you may have seen before some may have not! It's all how much money you want to spend but it truely gets old trying to make a prelude straight line fast. If I had the chance to do it all over again I would've never put a dollar into mods other than wheels and suspension. I've probably got 28 grand in my car and it truely isn't worth it unless you want to have a less reliable car!

Yes, get a good header and full exhaust.

Some sort of EM system like preludedriver said.

Then ignition, intake mani, internals, fuel system.

Good start.

if u are planning to just do i/h/e u really don't need any fuel managment system once u get into cams, and interanls then u need to up fueling and messa round with the Vtec engagement point. on my 01 GSR, i have skunk2 intake, skunk2 valve train, skunk2 cams, comptech headers, comptech ice box, hondata gasket, aem 5 bolt cam gears, Apexi N1 exhuast, and VAFC 2, and i haven't up the fuel yet, i just raised my vtec engagment point to about 6k and it runs great, oh and i am pretty much street legal even in cali. which is important if u are going to be having a daily driver.. and want to keep your reliablity as well
