Ok, after I installed my CAI when the car starts the idle is well above 1k. But after the car is at operating temp and has been run for a while if it sits at idle the idle will drop a little and you can hear my vavles tap and the oil light comes on. Any ideas, any comments are appreciated.

Well, you're having more "airflow" than the usual .. that's basically the difference between the factory restricted intake and the aftermarket one, your car is getting a little more air ... that's it .. i remember when i got my intake (short) always when i turned on my A/C my lude used to rev all the way to 1.5k for like 2 secs .. it was anoying because sometimes in places like drive-thrues the people who served me thought that i was doing on purpose ,, that problem ended after i installed the headers .. now the car is getting more air and sending more air .. more balance now .. extra horses? yes but just with the intake alone a very small difference.

Some people are kind of retarded when they try to act like they know what they're talking about. Your oil light is not supposed to come on in any circumstance except when you start your car to check it works. An intake is not going to cause someones oil light to come on dude! If you're light comes on with your idle dropping your oil pressure is in jeopardy trust me. You don't have the minimal 10 psi at idle and 50 psi at 3000 rpms! Do a compression check, leakdown test and a cylinder balance test and you should be able to find out a good idea of the condition of the motor. After that's all done and if you've found no harmful compression numbers start thinking oil clearances. Your cam journals have squat to do with your oil pressure. Oil pressure is determined on your rod and main journals. Drop the oil pan and see if you have any metal or bronze looking particles in the oil. If you do your bottom end needs new rod and main bearings. Idle has absolutely nothing to do with oil pressure unless your bleeding off compression somewhere through the HG or even back into the intake manifold if your valves aren't on key. Check all your timing belt components and marks, check your timing and if nothing leads you to the fix of your oil light coming on you better just take the car to Honda and pay the money!
