Default I got a problem

I have a 2000 base prelude.
I was on the interstate today and I know noticed that when i'm cruising in 5th gear then when i want to accelerate my engine bogs down and then it jerks up to speed. This happens around 3000-3500 rpms. And i recently noticed that my exhaust sputters when I lay off the gas. I am missing my o2 sensor (the one thats before the cat) because my old one went bad and don't have like $250 for a new one. So i'm guessing thats the problem but I don't know. So if anybody has any ideas on what is going ono i'd appreciate it. Oh yeah and my idle drops sometimes when I come to a stop but not all the time. So i don't know if there's any connection between the two.

Probably time for a new fuel fiter, spark plugs/wires, and distributor cap. Had similar problem with my lude, replaced those, and ran it perfect. Basically, a tune-up.

did these symptoms occur withing a week after removing the o2 sensor? if so i've got all my money on the o2 sensor. if not then reread your check engine light and if there's no codes aside from o2 problems then do the tune up, and if that still doesn't fix it, put an o2 in there.

it was the o2 sensor causing all the problems. Thank god it was nothing else.
