My check engine light was disconnecte by the previuos owner so i know it has to be throwing a code. I didnt realize it till after i bought the car. im not sure where he diconnected the light but can the code still be read with out the light being on. it is a 94 vtec (ob1)

 

any help would be good

 

At autozone or the dealership, yes it can still be read, if it is in fact throwing a code. You won't be able to read it. because you can count any blinks, if ya can't turn on the light.

 

why cant you just reconnect it?
