I have a wings west rs body kit that i want to get painted....i have a pearl white prelude...i went to maaco and some dude told me it was gonna cost me 700 to get it painted cuz its pearl white and there is a special process to get flakes or eggshells in there or somethin like that....i kno caddys have those special flakes in the paint but i didnt kno hondas did....am i gettin ripped off here??? i thought maaco was a reliable place!!!!

...some other corner body shop told me 300...however i dont think i told him it was a pearl white

 

i wouldnt trust maaco for any kind of paint job. i've seen their work up close and i coulda done a better job blindfolded.

 

It does sound like a rip-off.. come on 700 bucks for the wwrs kit ? Maybe theres a write up somewhere on how to do the flakes/eggshells ???

 

Maaco completely sucks. An uncle of mine is the manager of a huge paint shop in Tampa and he just painted my entire prelude white with blue pearl, and there was no "special process". 700 dollars for a lip kit is ridiculus, the paint itself shouldn't cost any more than 100. Snoopy is right, a blindfolded child could paint a car better than a "fake n' bake" place like Maaco.

 

maaco doesnt suck.dont mislead people by making them think that every maaco is terrible.if theres a problem with the maaco near you than its a problem with that individual store,just the same with any other store that could have problems.i got my car painted at maaco for $700 and it looked great and still looks great.you probably never even had shit done at maaco along with half of the other people that tell others not to go there.

 

Maaco painted my car when it was my lil sisters, and frankly THEY DESERVE TO DIE.

maacos paint jobs come with a 5 year warranty,anything that goes wrong will me fixed.if someone buys the cheap paintjob there for $300 than they obviously made the stupid decision and its their fault for not using their brain because each grade of paintjob tells you waht goes into it and only a person who did not think anything through would go with a $300 paintjob

 

ite i knew the 700 dollar job was crap...how much should i be looking at to paint the wings west rs kit...im gonna go to a bunch of body shops tom...im jus wondering wat wud be a good price

 

the pearl white paint itself is a lil more spendy thats why there charging you more ive looked into it

 

so wat price range would i be lookin at?
