I was wondering what i would get to get my car to about 200hp with only 250. I was thinking a 4-2-1 header,racing cat and cam gears. Would that give me around 200 hp if not what could i get. I have a 92 prelude si 2.3..

 

if you read mags with upgrade articals, headers dont really do much for the price its for. go with the little things that add up for great hps. like ignition, grounding, catback, fuel rail, fuel injectors,underdrive pulley, light weight flywheel, stuff like that....dont waste you money spending 600 bucks on an exhaust system that will only get you 20 or 30 horses if your lucky.

 

How much hp would the ignition give me..I only have 250 to spend..

 

1 if you are lucky. all those thing he just mentioned, wont give you a damn. Save your money for something worth while, like maybe a turbo? or cams? dont expect to see much with 250.

 

Maybe you meant 2 or 3?

 

i was using the most gain i've seen with an exhaust change out. but for 250, you wont get all those things. but you can get something worth while like a venom chip or a msd ignition.

 

you also want to get stuff for your engines longevity if your planning on expensive upgrades like turbo.

 

where are you seeing 20-30 hp from an exhaust? :eh:

 

my buddy has a t25 from a 2nd gen eagle talon that he said would fit on my car. He said that all i needed was a fmic.. I have been told that that turbo will blow my engine.. Is that true?? Is thier a stock boost set on the turbo for like 6psi. Its either that or buyin a cold air intake,headers and a high flow cat.. I cant make my mind up of what i should do....Turbo or intake and all that stuff..

 

Geez, only 20-30 from an exhaust? Mine DOUBLED my engines horsepower!!! :woowoo:
