As someone who has driven all but the first 34 of the 116,000 on my odometer, I can tell you the Prelude really is a reliable car. Not only does my car still handle like the day I bought it, I honestly haven't put anything more than belts, brakes, plugs, and a battery in mine. Oh, tires and an alignment.

Even the clutch has at least another 50k on it.

250,000 miles on my 98. Burns a QT. every 500 miles but still pulls like a train and plugs look normal. Drivability is as new.

155K on a 95 lude, major jobs: New Clutch, New Radiator, New Master cilynders, + minor regular expenses, soooooo that's reliable for me! btw, runs better than MANY cars out there

just turned 100k on my 97 and no problems. still on my orig clutch. goes thru about 1qt of oil every 2000 miles.

if your paranoid (like me), I like to do a compression check on any used vehicles I buy. All cyl should be within 10% of one another. I personally like them to be within 5%. And check the spark plug condition...

Good luck.
