As someone who has driven all but the first 34 of the 116,000 on my odometer, I can tell you the Prelude really is a reliable car. Not only does my car still handle like the day I bought it, I honestly haven't put anything more than belts, brakes, plugs, and a battery in mine. Oh, tires and an alignment.
Even the clutch has at least another 50k on it.

yah ive got a 2000 sh and i have 112k on it now plus ive been sqeezing on it fo 2 years and ive never had 1 problem ecxept the clutch cuz of the nos but other than that she is still runnin stronger then hell 100 k is jus breakin it in
just turned 100k on my 97 and no problems. still on my orig clutch. goes thru about 1qt of oil every 2000 miles.
if your paranoid (like me), I like to do a compression check on any used vehicles I buy. All cyl should be within 10% of one another. I personally like them to be within 5%. And check the spark plug condition...
Good luck.
