Prelude SH exhaust??
hi im new to this forums. anyways im looking for a good catback exhaust for my 00 SH.. im leaning toward the tanabe g-power . is there something better out there that im missing out ? i hear the n1 and greddy's are very loud and i want something a little quieter.some opinions plz.. Thanks!
In my opinion you should consider the Thermal R&D Cat-back. It is the only brand I'm using on ALL 3 of my Hondas.
Sounds terrific, looks terrific and the install is perfect on the Prelude. The Civic has had a Thermal since I bought it and the install was also flawless. The CRX unit is waiting to go on.
Remember one thing-every exhaust will be different and each unit must be given a chance to settle in the packing to obtain the best sound and performance.
Thermal-100% made in USA and fully polished stainless from end to end-Prelude 5th gen has twin 2.5" tips:thumbup:

I was in the same position as you, about 8 months ago.
I was debating between the Tanabe and Greddy.
I chose the Tanabe Racing Medallion. I think it looks better and is more unique.
However it is loud as hell whenever the rpm's are between 2700-3300. It does come with a silencer though, however when it is in you only hear the exhaust when you get on it, and when you get on it sort of sounds like that lawnmower quality that some modded civics have.
Over all I still like the Tanabe and I have no regrets.
