88 prelude vibration at 45mph
My car viberates at around 40-55 mph. It feels like you are going over rumbel strips. It stops if I stomp on the gas or let off it. It only does it when im going a constant speed. The car is automatic so is the transmission going or is it somthing else? It has no problems or noise when shifting gears. Thanks for any help Eric
Had the same thing happen in my 88 4ws prelude. It turned out to be loose lug nuts!
You mention it doesn't happen when you brake or accelerate. This makes sense because you are putting torque against the mag in either case. When coasting it will flop around.
Hopefully this hasn't been happening too long, or you might damage the Mag.
Take the tire wrench out of your trunk and give each bolt on each tire a tighten.

Have all four tires checked for balance first. Check your wear as well. If you need new tires up front, replace all four. But first check the balance. You may have lost a weight, and possibly on the back of the rim which you can't see.
