Default Odd problem with HID Kit 4th Gen

So I bought a HID Kit from Asia and the first kit didn't work, so i figured I got a dud and had it replaced. Got the replacement today and the kit still doesn't work so it can't be coincidence. So, my friend who is an electronic expert says that maybe the connectors are backwards (pins). the odd thing is that the halogen bulbs still work so I'm going to try to install the kit on my friend's mom's Lancruiser to see if the same thing happens and go from there. But I wanted to see if some of the veterens here could offer any tech advice. TIA.

No one has any insight? Or did I not provide enough info? Let me know.

probably got another bad set of HIDs again. The way I've tested out HIDs, was just splice the wires and place them on my battery. Works every time and haven't ran into any problems. Theres only 2 wires (negative & positive)..Have any pics of your HID kit

try connecting the pins backward like your friend says.
When I got my HID kit in my accord even though red is positive and black is negative, I crossed them and then it works. Could be just the wiring is different.
Also make sure you didnt blow a fuse cause I did. ( low beam fuse )
