One of my friends is looking at getting either an Integra GSR or a PRelude Type SH. He is mostly looking for speed so which one would you recommend? What other advantages would one have over the other?

 

Alright do I not see this post on every board!!! Speed wise Integra is much faster and much lighter, and the aftermarket ability is amazing! IMO though the Prelude is a much better looking car at least the fifth generation model that is, and SH is slower then the base model Prelude and the transmission already has this LSD built by Honda which is not good at all! The Prelude is heavy and down the road if you wanted it really fast you would need weight reduction, as for the Integra you wouldent. It's what ever floats your boat man!

 

your completely wrong bro...a stock gsr vs stock 5th gen prelude...the prelude will win every race given equal drivers...matt86, if your friend wants a car mainly for speed than he/she should get a different car...if your friend only wants to choose between these two cars than he should go with the gsr for speed...although they are slower stock than the prelude, they have much much more potential then a prelude does...the gsr is lighter which has a BIG advantage...prelude is heavy...gsr takes modifications very well...prelude doesn't...those are the main two reasons to get the gsr over the prelude for speed wise...
