I have just heard horror stories regarding the ATTS system crapping the bed.

My ATTS controller went bad, but luckly it went early on while my 01 was still covered under warrenty and all was covered. Since the replacement, I have had no problems.

I don't know if its a notorious problem, I'm just saying it happened to me. When my ATTS went, my car bogged down for 3 seconds, then the ATTS light on the gauge cluster came on. While driving you don't really notice it's gone, expect at high speed cornering, or very low speed turning, like backing out of a parking spot in a tight parking garage.

Cool, Id be autoXing the car...so atts is fairly important to me

its a rare electron blue pearl SH....ive been dying for this exact car for years.
dealer doesnt seem to want to budge...but we'll see if i dont get a call back. He wants to sell the car more then I want to jump on it and get in more debt

atts is pretty reliable, it's only a problem if you're pushing lots of hp (240whp or more)

thanks, id keep it stock with possible suspension mods later down the road.

BUT we shall see if i even get the car. dealer is playing hard ball. I gave him my price and said all if you can make it happen.

so...who knows...kinda sucks, I've always wanted an EBP Type SH. I washed my black 2.3CL today......looked so classy, i became torn....just not a good autoX car, not bad, but not good.

as someone who auto-x's a 5th gen, if competitive auto-x'in is a primary concern, i suggest you look into something other than a 5th gen. don't get me wrong, i love my car, and you can def. be competitive in STX, STS, and even DS locally with an SH--but the car's too heavy and doesn't have enough tire clearance.

this is why my original search, and still continuing search, is for a 3rd gen 4WS lude.

I just happened upon the rare EBP type SH which has been a dream car of mine since it came out. So i thought i'd try and make a deal.

Looked at a 3rd gen 4WS today, didnt even bother to drive it....its gonna be hard to find one that is as good of condition as my 3rd gen that got totaled.
