Yeah, its sad that HP.com is gone. And its even more sad that PO.com is now a paid site. As far as I'm concerned we lost both boards on 8/14/02. Those who pay the $6 will find less knowledge on that board. He had 17,000 members now he only has a few hundred. Those who pay will suffer b/c there will be less people to talk to/get knowledge from. So in essance, you're paying more, for less. :wtf:
i for one would not pay to use the site

the h23 is better for turbo... many other people will agree with me... but which is better for autoX? you can argue that forever... it all comes down to money and well.. i don't think that your choice of "pretty arrogant" wasn't completely correct b/c obviously he based it on that the h23 is just better for turbo and it's what you have so use it... you can say "no it's not" and give me a list of other reasons.. then i'm going to say well.. sure those are valid points... then i'm going to throw at you it's all a matter of how much money you can throw around... and personally.. if you're doing an elaborate setup JUST for autoX.. i'd buy a whole other car...

unfortunatly you all are seeing what happens when there just isn't enough money for everything.. that's the reason why hondaprelude.com shut down.. it's the reason preludeonline.com went to being a pay site... i don't think any of you would give up the money you all work so hard for to shell it out 500-1000 at a time a month so people can post about b.s. threads and sometimes very false information...

put yourselves in their shoes.. Chris from hp.com.. Dan from PO.com and Chris from this website work very hard almost everyday b/c most of them actually work for a computer company working more than 9-5 in most cases.. they work hard to give us these sites using their resources.. getting people to come here.. and most of all... giving up their hard earned money for us to be here.....

WRONG!

First of all...h23 is not better for turbo because the "non VTEC" head sucks when it comes to turbo. Just because .1 liter displacement difference..it doesn't mean it's going to be better in turbo. W/ the same amount of money you spend to turbo h22 and h23....h22 will get more power than h23....WHY? because h23 head is not as "big" as the h22 head (due to the vtec design). And when your ass sleeve the block...h22 can be just as big.

People use h23 because it's much cheaper than h22 and it's the same reason why people use b18a/b instead of b18c.

As for setup autox thingy. Why would anybody need to buy another car JUST for autoX? I mean sure..if you have money..knock yourself out, but why would you do that? how many people you see trailer there autox "race" car to the track (parking lot)? haven't seen any yet to tell you the truth...

Oh wait..my words aren't valid because I'm not a moderator and people shouldn't listen to what i say.

not being a dick or anything, but how come there are plenty of boards out there and they doing good? H-T never ask anybody for money and they're doing just fine. I mean I give those people props for hosting these boards and I have no problem paying..but that juts defeat the whole purpose of "web boards". I mean sure, I'll pay..but majority of the time..i get my knowledge from boards like honda-tech and if I have any questions..I can ask there.

Buttom line, if I have to pay to read people talking about which motor is better..spoon or whatever...I rather spend that money on beer

the reason why they don't have to pay for sites is b/c they cater to more than one car.. meaning that sponcers want to advertise b/c it's many different people.. right there is the problem for 1 car oriented sites...

no one ever said your words didn't mean anything... with that reasoning.. okay.. yeah.. i can agree... but the main concern was who would post this information if no one was paying to come back.. and all i was saying is that most of the people who are moderators such as marcucci and some others write articles for every honda site under the son and luckily we have them as mods.. the problem was just "who would answer these questions"
