Default thread locking compound yellow

I am trying to remove my Prelude power steering hose, but there is yellow thread locking compound on the lower hose fitting. I tried WD-40. Is there a compound dissolving chemical to apply or should I try a propane torch? I am concerned about melting any rubber parts in the rack and pinion steering block that the hose connects to.
