Default Uh oh.. I think I made a mistake

Hello all..

So I'm driving around the other day and I see this red car parked in the driveway in my development.. A 1993 Prelude.. It has a for sale sign.. So I park the truck and walk over and read "1993 Prelude - Needs engine $1000"

The rest is history..

I already have the h22a on order, full swap tranny, ecu and all.. What HAVE I done... its not like I need ANOTHER project.. I just sold the damn boat!

Anyway... I've been out of the import scene since back in 98 since I sold my 97 Civic..

I got hot for motorcycles and then watercraft, but I've come back to my roots.. (My first car was a 84 Accord which I beat on as hard as I could in high school, poor poor car )

Anyway I wanted to say hello and tell everyone about my mistak.... errr.. purchase.. <g>

I'm psyched... 200 ponies for me.. hell my supercharged frontier only has 210 and its double the weight!

Default Yuh..

It's not gonna break my heart too bad to fix it and sell it for more than I put into it. Yeah I even got a clean title to, no rebuilt or salvage junk to deal with.

While waiting for the engine I decided to see what was up with the sunroof (it was stuck closed at least!) I was very impressed how easy it was to get the sunroof unit out. Take out the dome light, a few panels about 8 bolts and the whole unit comes down. And in classic Honda engineering when you take all the bolts out it doesn't fall on your head like I thought it would, there are two clips that hold it in the front and its hinged in the rear to help you get it out. I forgot to take pictures, but it this one little plastic part that snapped on one of the rails. I ordered the parts from Majestic Honda for a grand total of $17 shipped... Here I was always FUD'ed by the dealers that sunroof repair was expensive, give me a break.. Anyway.. Wheres my engine!

I guess I need to work on getting the old one out... perhaps I'll work on that today.

Default Broken

I dunno.. After looking at the title paperwork it looks like the previous owner had it for about 10-12k miles before it puked, then as best I can tell the car has been sitting up for about 3 yrs. I have no idea what the status of the old motor was. It already had the head off and the oil pan when I got it. I can't see anything obvious at the moment.. Why want it?? I was planning to part it out when I get the other one in and running.
