Default 93 Prelude tyre size, offset etc

hi,
I got a 1993 Honda Prelude (Australia) .Need to upgrade from stock to some 17" rims...need the Tyre size etc fould i need...i mean the off set etc...so i see which rim would fit with me since i wanna score some off ebay.

here some stuff off an ebay add....can u tell me what all that means ?

Size 17 x 7
PCD 4 - 100
Off Set 40

OE wheel specs (AFAIK)

15x6.5 - wheel size (diameter x width)
4x114.3 - (PCD pattern, aka lug pattern. 4 lugs arranged on a circle of a diameter of 114.3 mm aka 4.5")
+55mm offset (distance of the mounting plate the part that touches the hub, from the centerline of the wheel. + offset = the mounting plate is located more towards the outside of the car from centerline.)

in short those rim specs you posted won't work, since the PCD is off. You are looking for:

17x7,7.5,8 (8 is iffy)
4x114.3 PCD
+42 to +48mm offset.
