would nitrous blow my engine in my lude
i have a 97 auto prelude that i was thinking about putting in a 100 wet shot in. i have 132000 miles on the engine and the tranny was just rebuilt. would it run good and if so what rpm would i hit the spray at?
what i suggest is that u make sure that ur motor can withstand the nitrous. For example make sure the motor doesnt knock. I mean other than that i dont see why not. For the rpm thing, around 4500-5500 would be ok, from what ive heard.
If it's the 4-speed ShiftTronic SportShift whatever, don't use the shifter. Keep it in D3 and weeeee.
Anyways, to your question, I'd personally go with a nitrous sytem that's regulated and pressurized based on current conditions. ZEX makes a kit for around 5 bills that'll do it, and I believe NOS (Holley) does as well. nX claims they do it, too, but i've heard a couple of LOCAL unsuccess stories using nX, one resulting in a D17 giving out, and one resulting in a Teg that had nitrous activated at like 30MPH on a busy road.
