F'ed up Idle...HELP!
OK My Idle jumps from about 750-2000 rpms. I was told by the dealership it wasthe IACV. I replaced it and it still does it. They said something about an idle run in procedure.. They also told me it was in the shop manual, I can't find it. Any ideas what this is and how to do it?
FYI the only time the car doesn't due it is if the outside are is hot and the car has warmed up or if the car is moving above 25mph. Above 25mph and push the clutch in and let the idle drop to idle speed it stays steady till I get to about 25. Any input would be a help. I really don't want to get raped by the dealership again.

The jumping idle. I had the pleasure all winter long. I finally tracked it down to the fast idle thermo valve... I replaced it with a decently new junkyard throttlebody, which included a newer, factory set throttle position sensor(an integrated part of the TB), and the thermovalve, which sits on the bottom of the TB on my 93 h23. Slap on a new one or try taking apart the old one, here is an article to help you Fast idle valve mod
