The "ricer"="asian" i think is because some ignorants think that you're ricer only because you own a asian (Japanesse) car, i remember one day i saw a awesome black Mustang GT and i said to the owner: hey: i like you're car dude, and he said: nice to see a ricer that likes my car!
I was: What?? then i tryed to explain that i wasn't ricer but he said that all japanesse cars are "rice" and he didn't really care LOL, i said nevermind, i guess this is ignorance, the Irony is the fact that Civics and Accords (99% of all honda riced cars) are made with pride in USA, and Mustangs Parts in Mexico and parts who knows where, and Preludes where made 100% in Japan, .. see ignorance is cruel sometimes! I suppose you can "rice" up anything. A couple weeks ago in Vermont I saw a late model Ford Mustang with emblems removed and GT-R badging added as well as a bunch of other stickers. Wow, I got a good chuckle with that. The best part was it had a V6 engine in it.

That's right, any car car by Riced, all depends what the owner does to mess with the poor car, old cars (and it's owners) tend to rice te most, but many NEW cars i've seen riced up too, .. i got a bunch of amazing Pics LOl (my cam is always with me)

Yeh, I get pissed off by the mexicans with the 89 civic hatches, who paint thier hood's black to look like CF, and drive around w/out hubcaps, with stickers all over the car, and a pissed off bumblebee in the back.

Some guy in a CRX had a big-A fiberglass spoiler and a sticker that said "I won't race you, so don't ask!" Needless to say, we both ended up getting onto the interstate where he floored it. I thought my speaker was buzzing again, and then saw the CRX passing me in the left lane. Well, its fun to just pull in front of him without flooring it, and then mess with em. Slow down, speed up, slow down, speed up, and finally when they get all pissed off and take off the pass you, just show them what a REAL 4 cylinder will do.

(I drive a 99 I4 Galant ES right now )

Lookin to get into the Lude and Teg seen very soon tho.

Rice is basically a state of mind and not what you put on ur car neccessarily, Some aluminum spoilers look goo w/ the right setup and ricers give a bad name to those on the import scene by making general stereotypes. I used to be a ricer and I didn't have a huge wing or vinyl graphics on my car, I had a stock mitsubishi mirage and I thought my car was the shit. I would try to race camaros and mustangs and I would think that I was hot shit because I took them from the line and left them cars behind. What I didn't realize is that they weren't racing me and probably didn't notice me. I see the same thing going on w/ tons of people out there. It's sad because its ignorance. Oh well. Oh yeah: If you think that cat Prince can't ball why don't you challenge him to a game of one on one. CHALLENGE HIM!!! And make sure your peoples are there to see you. Cause you just might get embarrased. I mean there's a lot of great story tellers in the world today. Why would some one make that shit up?

I go along with those of you that feel sorry for ricers. But in my opinion there's a difference between rice and somone "trying to make their car look cool". IMO a ricer is someone that buys a civic (or something easily moded) just so that they can throw a body kit, fart can, and a big wing on it. The funny/sad part about it is that all of a sudden they think their car is tops. [case in point, the other day I was driving down the road and I pull up to a light next to some big wing saturn with chrome wheels, I look over and I'm thinking WOW, poor kid thinks thats cool, I would have felt indifferent about the whole thing if he dind't rev at me and jump once the light turned green, I didn't even want to waste the gas] But...theres a difference between people like that and people like my former self. I had a 4 dr. Daewoo and loved the Fast and Furious, but I didn't know any better so my girlfriend bought me underbody neons because I thought they were so cool, but I wasn't about to try racing someone, and I still had an appreciation for proper performance cars.

So in summary I agree with those of you that said that rice is used to broadly. The dislike for rice should actually be applied to the driver because some people just don't know any better and think that big wings is the way to go

Exactly, it is used so broad that most people will call all imports rice, straight from the factory, and domestic guys around here have a field day with that word.
