So it is ATTS. I wasn't sure. I will be getting a LSD installed on my Base once I get my ACT stage 2 clutch and flywheel installed. Hope they all make the world of difference.
I went and searched out the Base Model when I bought my Prelude. I excluded all SH models because of weight and tranny.
sh has 5 less hp and it is heavier and the stock wheels are different and it comes w/ leather.
base is a lot better in my opinion...only thing sh has is the atts, which isnt that great for the extra $3 grand...

I wonder how many of you have even driven the SH. I've got koni adjustables and lowering springs and I guarantee it will out perform a base no ifs, ands, or buts about it! I just had a lightweight flywheel and a race clutch put in and they weighed the atts it's 88 lbs full! Everyone always says the SH is slower, yeah right. 88 lbs isn't even a tenth in the 1/4 when comparing to a base. I drove a sliver base in columbus ohio before I drove 4 hrs to get my SH. I'd never take a base over a SH even if the base had a lsd. Atts is badass if you know how to use it. Handles like a rear wheel drive car and takes care of all the understeer if your up in the revs in a good corner. I was whipping on s2000 at the drag strip the other night pulling 102 mph traps. A SH with the right mods and some spray is a hell of a car period! Also I wanted to add I paid 13 grand for a 99 SH with 45,000 miles. I know peeps that paid more than that for their base so the $3000 atts thing really doesn't apply. IMO find one from a private party and stay away from the dealership. Dealership is the only place you will pay more for atts, there's good deals out there. The only downfall I can say for the SH is if you want to go obd1 or standalone you will lose your atts so make that decision when you buy. You can still make the SH a monster if you've got the cash!

horsepower on preludes depends on year of production and not model trim. 97-98 preludes have 195hp (manual tranny) and 99-01 have 200hp (manual tranny). i didnt know the sh came in leather, mine is cloth, i would have taken leather :P
Was leather even an option for a USDM Prelude Type SH? I don't think it was unless is was a dealer install. Maybe if it was the Canadian version, but I don't even know if that came in leather. My car has heated seats with out leather so who knows.
Hey Ohio99 where you at in Ohio man? I live in Mansfield and there is no one around here that has a 5th gen not even many 4th gens. I'd like to get 4 or 5 ludes or so and go to the strip for a night. Norwalk Raceway is where I run and the track is phenominal. They put lots of money into the place in the last ten years. They've got a buscher sport compact class and there are some bada@@ cars that show up! A few EVO's, SRT-4's, lots of eclipses and talons. It all goes off your dial and how consisitant you're. Friday nights are test and tune only, no dials. Run as many times as you want! Well man give me a shout back sometime!
I live about one and a half hours away from Mansfield. Never took my lude to the track before and right now it is all stock. Hopefully soon I can start building up my engine. I know what you mean about not many people having 5th gen ludes. I can only think of 2 or 3 in my area.
