both stick, but the maxima is auto? how does that work?
Anyway it would depend on the year of the Max, and the mods on both cars.
Say stock for stock the lude will own the auto max if its a Maxima older than 2k1. If both are stick then the Maxima will take it on a 1/4 mile run but the lude will pull on the Max on the highway if its a 90-99 Max.

I think he meant comparig both stickshifts and autos. Yeah My rents 02 maxima has 255 hp and tons-O-torque. The six-speed of that will tear apart a stock stickshift lude. IMO

sorry for being unclear. I meant to compare a stock 5 spd 2000 lude to both an auto and stick maxima(2000 or 2001). The maxima wit like 222 hp and like 210 lbs of torque

well vs the Auto Max it would be a close run, but at the end the Lude will walk the max. The 5 spd Max will just own the lude

Its been a while since I've driven a 5th gen Prelude but I do own a Max with about 231 hp and going with memory and experiences with it I think it would be a close match up no matter what tranny the Maxima had. The mid-range in my car is unbelievable and will pull very fast to redline in 2nd gear and I'm already standing on 80mph when it upshifts.

Well I can personally attest to the Maxima owning the Prelude as far as 5spd vs. 5spd

yes the torque in the max is a lot more, it should pull at lower speeds, but i have seen 5 gens with slight mods take a 5-speed max on a 20 roll though
who knows, run and let us know the results
