4th gen brakes...
I have a question concerning caliper removal when you replace the rotors. I have previously replaced pads on the front of my '93 Accord and swung the top of the caliper up as described and replaced the pads. My question concerns my in-laws Toyota avalon which needs the rotors replaced. I plan on replacing the pads as well. When I remove the caliper completely, do I have to disconnect the brakehose banjo bolt fitting? I would prefer not to open the brake fluid system and just remove the caliper and bracket. Is this possible? thank you. any advise would help. DanG

and as far as this little arguement goes...biglew, you said in your first statement that you have to separate the rear caliper from bracket. wouldn't this be removing the caliper?? either way, i would do the same as boom and just take off the caliper and clean things up. you guys were looking at it from two different views and shouldn't be worth getting pissed off at anyone about.
