engine and transmission swap question
I have a 96 prelude S with the f22a1 automatic transmission. I also have a wrecked 00 prelude with H22a4 and tiptronic automatic transmission. I am looking at swapping the h22a4 into the 96 prelude. What kind of modifications would I have to perform in order to do this swap? If it is at all possible.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
direct drop in mechanically.
use your f22a1 tranny if possible.
get a wiring harness adapter...i think you have OBD1 but not sure since honda had its only major recall that year over their OBD2 system.

why did honda get a fine for upgrading to OBD 2?

basically put, the honda OBD2 coneversion over the model year 1996 was flawed.
notice how they changed most of the body styles in 97 and not 96, when OBD2 went down.
