Lowering Springs
I'm gonna drop my car about 1.5" or so and I was wondering what kind of springs you guys would recommend and if you guys have ur car lowered, did it take any special equipment or can I do it in my garage with a normal tool set?

Eibach pro-kit would probably be best, since after it settles it'll drop the car about 1.5". Also you're probably going to need to rent a spring compressor, but then again me and a friend did it without one... just make sure you have quick reflexes.

Yah, I was looking into the Eibach pro-kit, seems like the best choice for me cuz it's not too low. And hopefully I can find sumone around here with a spring compressor, I don't feel like gettin my ass kicked by a spring...

I have no idea what your overall plan is. With that said I prefer the Neuspeed Sport Springs and Koni shocks that we have had for 3 years. They do NOT settle so the drop is what it is from the getgo. I had a set of Pro-kits springs and they are nice but not as stiff as the Sport. Whatever you do-change the shocks at the same time.
If you plan to have an adjustable setup then go with Ground Control sleeves and the springs they recommend based on how you will use the car.
Finally-get the car aligned immediately after the work is completed. Get the printout and then and only then order Camber Kits if you need them. There is absolutely NO way to simply say one part will work every time. We happen to have SPC 67135 kits up front and Ingalls 3571 and 3573 in the rear. Notice they rears are different; this might not be true if we had fully corner-weighted the car, but that is a different subject.
Happy holidays

Thanks, I appreciate all the help guys. I'm thinkin about the Eibach pro-kit just because the drop isn't as much as the Neuspeed sport kit and I still have to get over speed bumps and shit at school.

Is there a huge overall difference betwwen sprot and race springs if they are both said to give the same drop? Is the firmness that much worse with race? Also is it a bad idea to get race springs in an area that has pretty bad roads? Also can I go with nuespeed sport springs wihtout a camber kit? How about with H&Rrace springs without a camber kit? Also is it a huge differnece of wear on my stock shocks betwwen 1.5 inch drop and 1.7? thanks
