Default Tranny Problems

Alright well not sure what happened, or what's wrong so I'll ask here.

Yesterday it drove fine and everything worked and was good. I was able to shift gears and everything normally. Now today when I try and goto work I can't shift into gear, unless you push it hard into gear.

When the car is off I'm able to shift into all of the gears w/o pressing the clutch at all, it goes into every gear fine. But once the car turns on I can't get into any gear.

Anyone know what's up?

Simple fix. Fill your reservoir and pump the clutch a few times. If that doesnt fix it, bleed the clutch.

NO HONDA MTF IS WRONG

it uses brake fluid, DOT3 is fine

its the smaller of the two yellow colored plastic tanks mounted on the firewall above the steering column
fill it up, pump the clutch a few times and re-check

DOT3 brake fluid is the minimum standard they can legally sell right now, they have DOT4 too but that is overkill and recommended for ABS systems blah blah blah, its really all the same.
its sold anywhere that car fluids are sold, take your pick

yes its the exact same place on your h23a1

:edit:
you can see it in the rightmost picture on my signature, its the smaller yellow can shaped thing in the exteme upper right corner of the pic.

Ok So I checked all 3 of the reservoirs today and they all were full. Like not to the tippy-top of the brim but most of it is. I circled which ones I checked in the pic. Did I not check the right one, or is it something else?

if they all had fluid my next recommendation would be to change the clutch slave cylinder and possibly the clutch master cylinder
but you might want to bleed the clutch line FIRST, just in case its an air bubble, which is actually pretty common

the two reservoirs closer to the left are braking system, the leftmost being the ABS pump.

the rightmost is the clutch fluid

above that, we start getting into more serious things like tranny problems, although with under 200k miles of competent driving a 4g H series tranny should still be fine

things to consider:
-has ANY work been done to the car recently?
-when was the clutch last changed?
-with the engine running and hood open, depress the clutch pedal and listen for any change of noise near the tranny housing, under the distributor, this will help indicate whether its a throwout bearing issue
-monitor the slave cylinder throw distance while having someone pump the clutch pedal, its under the starter, on the front of the tranny, right behind the radiator fan, it looks like a small metal cylinder with a rubber boot on the end, connected to a large fork extruding from inside the tranny.
