89 Lude 2.0 dohc interference?
I have the chance to pick up a 89 2.0 dohc luder, for nearly free,
the kid blew a timing belt and just wants to get rid of it. i just
want to know if it is an interference motor and if so whats usually the worst damage that happens. just trying to figure out if its worth my time to pick this baby up or not.

yes its interference
if he blew the belt then he bent no less than "several" valves.
i would recommend changing the entire head with a rebuilt unit, generally its not worth it to rebuild the blown head, in case the valve guides are cracked or other serious damage has occured
