N/A vs JRSC
Hello all,
I want to add some serious performance modifications to my 2000 SH.
I just priced the JRSC, $4,195.00 ! So anyway. . . . I was wondering:
What is the ball-park figure for going with a good quality NA setup: CAI, pulleys, Header, High flow exaust/Cat, and a new ECM?
What is the ballpark performance increase? HP/Torque?
Thanks for your thoughts!

For a really good N/A setup, you gotta do a whole hell of alot more than the basic bolt ons. Tearing down the block, having your crankshaft balanced, forged rods & high compression pistons, possibly bore out the block, get the head ported & polished, titanium valve spring retainers, stainless springs, high performance cams.......I got a price quote of about $4,000 for parts & labor for my H23a. Than on top of that, there are still the bolt ons which you mentioned before(Cam gears, CAI, Headers, catback, wires, ignition, pulleys, fuel rail, upgraded ECU) Depending on what brand of parts you get, this price can vary considerably.
With the SH to get real power with the NA route you need at very least a OBD-I swap. If you go this route you loose your ATTS so that's something to think about. The JRSC should be much cheaper to but then what you listed unless that's install included.

i know it expired already but its worth giving it a shot....man...$4,195.00 thats too much that they quoted you...you could just but an f-max turbo kit for $3400-3600...i suggest that you do more search instead of taking that one...i say go with the supercharger....it will give you more hp than an all-motor and less expensive...you basically have to do a whole lot to an all-motor....

i dont really know anything about the jrsc, but i think they give you a pullies that runs with 6psi.....but i'm not too sure....ask around in PO.com...5th gen...or force induction...that should be good enough for you to run with stock internals...
