clunking, not shock knock, HELP!
I was in the parking lot and when i was slowing down for a stop sign i started to hear a cyclic clunking noise, its spontaneous, but when it happens, it seems to be in tune with my tire rotation. I recently mounted 17" onto my G5, which may be the culprit, but before i head out tomorrow, does anyone have any specific places to check? The sound seems to be about the middle-front of the car, closer to the driver.
The grinding/clunking noise only comes when i'm going really slow, 2mph or less range, happens when i'm rolling backwards too, turning doesnt affect the noise, seems to be only speed related, bumps dont affect the clunking either.
I've checked the CV boots briefly with a flashlight tonight, they seem to be in good shape, other than the 17" tires, i have a stock setup... well AEM CAI and AFC. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and it would probably help to say that i autoX'd for the first time this weekend, drove hard, and i THINK i may have heard the clunk but passed it off as the pads unsticking off the rotors when comming out of the pits after applying the Ebrake. But it wasnt that noticable at the time.... offtopic, but beat out 2 wrx's, one with downpipe, turbo cat and ecu, other with shocks springs, downpipe and testpipe & exhaust.
