It really is random, some weeks your players will have games and play well, others-- they won't.

What happens in the event of a tie week? Anyone know?

 

In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock is broken using the following system:
Note: Only those stats accumulated during the head-to-head matchup are used to settle ties. Season stats are not factored in.

1. Most team goals.
2. Most team assists.
3. Lowest team GAA.
4. Highest team SV%.
5. Most team wins.
6. Most team shutouts.
7. Most team powerplay points.
8. Most team shots on goal.
9. Most team penalty minutes.
10. Most team plus/minus.
11. Random "coin flip."

If a team does not meet the minimum games played requirement for goalies during the playoff matchup, they lose any tiebreakers involving goalie statistics.
