Medical is one of those fields where if you don't have the passion for it... don't be in it...

a. dont place a thread in a common board if you only want a small handful of people to answer you, thats what PM is for
b. you fail the address the biggest factors here, do you enjoy your current job and is being a doctor something you would rather do over current situation. also factor current age and what it would cost you non-financially to do this. is there anyone you have to provide for? can you provide for them while attending school full time ....
if i enjoyed my current job the answer would be a resounding no ... good enjoyable jobs arent as easy to come by as one might think

Depends on where you are in your life right now, and how old you are, and are you willing/able to withstand the rigors of med school, internship, and a residency. I think that will all take what about 6-8 years.
