question for serious people here (EVERYONE ELSE STAY OUT!)
This is a mature question for mature HAN members such as rick, drew, etc
If you had a stable successful job but was offered opportunity to go to med school and be stuck with at least 4 years of BIG loans and then get paid nothing for next few years before you get established, would you do it?

do you have any other source of income? but more importantly, is being a doctor your life's calling, would you be happy doing that, happier than you are now?
biggest thing is, don't you have to take the MCATs before you can get accepted to Med School, and if so, have you taken the MCATs yet?

Not for me in my current situation.
A. 4 years w/o the current Salary will not support the mortgage + stable living
B. Med School big loag + Mortgage = dissaster
C. Don't want to work for people the rest of my life (unless u go to med school to be a your own privately owned Family Doctor or similar).
D. I don't think I'd enjoy that since it's not my "interest"
There are my reasons. However, if I'm young, HS Grads or a 2 year college associate, YES, I'll go for it because it'd be a career.
But as of now, having my own business and a FT Engineer, No would be my answer.
Hope this helps

I've always wanted to be a doctor until 12th grade. I found that that I enjoy engineer related stuffs a lot and I'd rather do something that I have a passion on.
